Mend-It is water-based, polymer used in new concrete construction,
restoration and repair. Mend-It is added directly to the
concrete (this can be done on the constructions site) and
ideal for residential (repair and restoration) concrete use
as well as is use in highway patching, repair and resurfacing,
bridge deck overlays, airport taxiway restorations, parking
deck restoration, commercial, and sidewalk, curb and gutter
repair.
The use of Mend-It modified concrete
substantially lowers the cost of restoration. Using Mend-It
does not require partial depth cutting as they can be featheredged.
Mend-It is easily mixed and applied, has high bonding strength
and is extremely durable. Mend-It modified concrete meets "fast-track" time-to-service
criteria, allowing traffic to resume within 4 to 24 hours.
These characteristics provide for significant reduction in
the amount of time required to complete and service restoration
projects.
Mend-it modified concrete uses conventional mixing and application
equipment and it easy to mix and apply in all arenas. Mend-it
is ideal for concrete use as it repeals water and chloride
ions.
Features
- Improved Durability - Resists the chemical effects of
de-icing salts and the physical stress of freeze-thaw Stops
chloride ion ingress, reduces rebar corrosion, keeps out
water, acid rain and chemicals. .
- High Bond Strength - No failure at bond line, with the
coefficient of expansion nearly equal to concrete, resulting
in excellent stress-bond strength.
- Economical Restoration Costs - Competitive compared to
demolition/replacement costs while providing superior performance.
- Versatile - Can be used as topping, as well as a deep
or partial fill; smooth, broomed or skid resistant surfaces
obtainable.
- Fast Time-To-Service - Reduces downtime and allows traffic
flow to resume typically overnight.
- Easy to use- comes in pre-made kits that are ideal for
residential use.
